ANAPC1 blocking peptide
ANAPC1 (pS688) Blocking Peptide
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a subunit of the anaphase-promoting complex. This complex is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that regulates progression through the metaphase to anaphase portion of the cell cycle by ubiquitinating proteins which targets them for degradation. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Uniprot Description
APC1: Component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls progression through mitosis and the G1 phase of the cell cycle. The APC/C complex acts by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins: it mainly mediates the formation of 'Lys-11'-linked polyubiquitin chains and, to a lower extent, the formation of 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. Belongs to the APC1 family.
Protein type: Cell cycle regulation; Ubiquitin conjugating system
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q12.1
Cellular Component: anaphase-promoting complex; cytosol; nucleoplasm
Biological Process: anaphase-promoting complex-dependent proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; negative regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; positive regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; protein ubiquitination during ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle

Product Notes
The ANAPC1 anapc1 (Catalog #AAA8247757) is a Blocking Peptide produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ANAPC1 (pS688) Blocking Peptide reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ANAPC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). Blocking Peptide to the diluted primary antibody in a molar ratio of 10:1 (peptide to antibody) and incubate the mixture at 4 degree C for overnight or at room temperature for 2 hours. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ANAPC1 anapc1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ANAPC1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
