NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. It is thought that this family member is functional in brain due to its high expression levels there. DNA methylation differences have been found in this gene in monozygotic twins that are discordant for adolescent depression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]

Uniprot Description

YANK3: is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. The specific function of this kinase is not known. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Protein type: Protein kinase, AGC; Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); EC 2.7.11.1; AGC group; YANK family

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q26.3

Cellular Component: intracellular

Molecular Function: ATP binding; metal ion binding; protein serine/threonine kinase activity

Biological Process: peptidyl-serine phosphorylation

Product Notes

The STK32C stk32c (Catalog #AAA8244001) is a Blocking Peptide produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PKE Blocking Peptide reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PKE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). Blocking Peptide to the diluted primary antibody in a molar ratio of 10:1 (peptide to antibody) and incubate the mixture at 4 degree C for overnight or at room temperature for 2 hours. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STK32C stk32c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PKE, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
