Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

(Immunohistochemical analysis of RELB (pS573) staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)

Uniprot Description

RELB: a transcription factor of the nuclear factor-kappaB (NFkB) transcription complex. Stimulates promoter activity in the presence NFkB1/NFkB-p50. Plays role in regulation of apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma through activation of downstream target genes. Does not associate with DNA or RelA/NFkB-p65.

Protein type: Transcription factor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.32

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol; microtubule organizing center; nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: chromatin binding; protein binding; transcription corepressor activity; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: antigen processing and presentation; circadian regulation of gene expression; I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB cascade; inflammatory response; innate immune response; myeloid dendritic cell differentiation; negative regulation of interferon-beta production; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; response to cytokine stimulus; stimulatory C-type lectin receptor signaling pathway; T-helper 1 cell differentiation; transcription, DNA-dependent; tumor necrosis factor-mediated signaling pathway

Product Notes

The RELB relb (Catalog #AAA8243170) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-RELB (pS573) Phospho Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RELB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western Blot: (1/500 - 1/1000); Immunohistochemistry: (1/100 - 1/200). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RELB relb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RELB, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
