GIT1 sirna
GIT1 siRNA (Rat)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
mediates beta2-adrenergic receptor endocytosis [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
GIT1: a multidomain, adaptor protein that regulates cellular processes, such as migration and protrusive activity, by bringing together various signaling molecules, including PIX, PAK, and paxillin. Phosphorylation on Ser-709 increases its binding to paxillin and regulates cellular protrusions. Possesses ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) GTPase-activating protein (GAP) activity. Functions as part of a multi-molecular signaling complex that regulates membrane protrusions and cell migration. Regulates PLC-gamma activation by c-Src and integrates signal transduction by G protein coupled receptors (GPCR)s and tyrosine kinase receptors (TKRs).
Protein type: GAPs; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; GAPs, ARF
Cellular Component: focal adhesion; membrane; cytoplasm
Molecular Function: small GTPase binding; protein binding; protein homodimerization activity; zinc ion binding; protein complex binding; GTPase activator activity
Biological Process: formation of immunological synapse; ephrin receptor signaling pathway; regulation of cytokinesis; regulation of G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; positive regulation of GTPase activity

Product Notes
The GIT1 git1 (Catalog #AAA8218819) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GIT1 siRNA (Rat) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GIT1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GIT1 git1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GIT1, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
