Related Product Information for anti-MAP1B antibody
The microtubule-associated protein 1B (MAP1B) gene serves an important role in axonal growth and brain development. MAP1B binds to microtubules and regulates microtubule dynamics. In addition to regulating the polymerization of microtubule and actin microfilaments, MAP1B also acts as a signaling protein involved in normal physiology and pathological conditions in the nervous system. MAP1B is expressed predominantly during the early stages of development of the nervous system, where it regulates processes such as axonal guidance and elongation. MAP1B expression in the brain persists in adult stages, where it participates in the regulation of the structure and physiology of dendritic spines in glutamatergic synapses. MAP1B mutations are associated with a phenotype including periventricular nodular heterotopia (PVNH), intellectual disability (ID), seizures, and dysmorphic features.

Product Notes

The MAP1B (Catalog #AAA8110226) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-MAP1B Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAP1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAP1B for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAP1B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
