Unconjugated
Preparation
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, recombinant Human CLEC4D (rh CLEC4D). The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Preservative-Free. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for anti-CLEC4D antibody
C-type lectin (CLEC) family is a type of carbohydrate-binding protein domain named lectin. C-type lectins are the most diverse and prevalent lectin family in immunity with its requirement for calcium for binding. Proteins including a C-type lectin domain have diverse range of functions including cell-cell adhesion, immune response to pathogens and apoptosis. There are at least 14 types of C-type lectins: typeI to typeI©IV. CLEC4D(CLECSF8) is a typeII membrane glycoprotein belonging to the C-type lectin family, with restricted expression in the monocyte/macrophage lineage. It plays important roles in the function of macrophages.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response. This gene is closely linked to other CTL/CTLD superfamily members on chromosome 12p13 in the natural killer gene complex region. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

CLEC4D: Functions as an endocytic receptor. May be involved in antigen uptake at the site of infection, either for clearance of the antigen, or for processing and further presentation to T cells.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.31

Cellular Component: integral to membrane

Molecular Function: carbohydrate binding

Biological Process: innate immune response

Product Notes

The CLEC4D clec4d (Catalog #AAA8105359) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CLEC4D Antibody, Mouse Monoclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CLEC4D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA) (Cap). ELISA (Cap): This antibody will detect Human CLEC4D in ELISA pair set. In a sandwich ELISA, it can be used as capture antibody when paired with. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CLEC4D clec4d for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CLEC4D, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
