Preparation
This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of the human DDX4. The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Preservative-Free. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-mouse IgG secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.)

Related Product Information for anti-DDX4 antibody
DDX4 (DEAD box polypeptide 4), characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), is an RNA helicase which is implicated in various cellular processes involving the alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. DDX4 is known to be a germ cell-specific protein and is used as a sorting marker of germline stem cells for the production of oocytes. The active vitamin D treatment prohibited the proliferation and invasion of ovarian cancer cells, and the expression level of a germ cell specific marker DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp)-box helicase 4 (DDX4), which is overexpressed in ovarian cancer, was downregulated by active vitamin D treatment. Knockdown of DDX4 by siRNA could also suppress the invasive ability of ovarian cancer cells. Therefore, DDX4 may be considered as a marker of ovarian cancer, and vitamin D may be a candidate drug for ovarian cancer therapy. That DDX4 is essential for the regulation of germ cell proliferation and differentiation across all three extant mammalian groups-eutherians, marsupials, and monotremes.

Product Notes

The DDX4 ddx4 (Catalog #AAA8100180) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-DDX4 Antibody, Mouse Monoclonal reacts with Human Predicted to React with: Mouse, Rat (Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DDX4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC-P: 1:50-1:200 ICC/IF: 1:20-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DDX4 ddx4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DDX4, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
