Related Product Information for PDXP elisa kit
Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Human PDXP antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human PDXP antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRPStreptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human PDXP amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human PDXP can be calculated.

NCBI Description

Pyridoxal 5-prime-phosphate (PLP) is the active form of vitamin B6 that acts as a coenzyme in maintaining biochemical homeostasis. The preferred degradation route from PLP to 4-pyridoxic acid involves the dephosphorylation of PLP by PDXP (Jang et al., 2003 [PubMed 14522954]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

PDXP: Protein serine phosphatase that dephosphorylates 'Ser-3' in cofilin and probably also dephosphorylates phospho-serine residues in DSTN. Regulates cofilin-dependent actin cytoskeleton reorganization. Required for normal progress through mitosis and normal cytokinesis. Does not dephosphorylate phospho-threonines in LIMK1. Does not dephosphorylate peptides containing phospho- tyrosine. Pyridoxal phosphate phosphatase. Has some activity towards pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP), pyridoxine 5'-phosphate (PMP) and pyridoxine 5'-phosphate (PNP), with a highest activity with PLP followed by PNP. Homodimer. Ubiquitous. Highly expressed in all the regions of central nerve system except the spinal cord. Also expressed at high level in liver and testis. In fetus, it is weakly expressed in all organs except brain. Inhibited by NaF, Zn(2+), Ca(2+), Mn(2+) and EDTA. Belongs to the HAD-like hydrolase superfamily.

Protein type: Cell cycle regulation; Cofactor and Vitamin Metabolism - vitamin B6; EC 3.1.3.74; EC 3.1.3.3; Protein phosphatase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor)

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q12.3

Cellular Component: actin cytoskeleton; cleavage furrow; cytosol; lamellipodium; midbody; plasma membrane

Product Notes

The Human PDXP pdxp (Catalog #AAA763231) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA763231 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PDXP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pyridoxal phosphate phosphatase, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
