Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- XCR1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- XCR1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the XCR1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of XCR1can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a chemokine receptor belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. The family members are characterized by the presence of 7 transmembrane domains and numerous conserved amino acids. This receptor is most closely related to RBS11 and the MIP1-alpha/RANTES receptor. It transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. The viral macrophage inflammatory protein-II is an antagonist of this receptor and blocks signaling. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

XCR1: Receptor for chemokines SCYC1 and SCYC2. Subsequently transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p21.3

Cellular Component: cytosol; integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: chemokine receptor activity

Biological Process: chemotaxis; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; inflammatory response; release of sequestered calcium ion into cytosol

Product Notes

The Human XCR1 xcr1 (Catalog #AAA761282) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA761282 ELISA Kit recognizes Human XCR1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chemokine XC receptor 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
