Mouse Heme-binding protein 1 (HEBP1) ELISA Kit | HEBP1 elisa kit
Mouse Heme-binding protein 1 (HEBP1) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: HEBP1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-HEBP1 antibody and an HEBP1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with HEBP1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the HEBP1 concentration since HEBP1 from samples and HEBP1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-HEBP1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by HEBP1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind HEBP1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The HEBP1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The full-length protein encoded by this gene is an intracellular tetrapyrrole-binding protein. This protein includes a natural chemoattractant peptide of 21 amino acids at the N-terminus, which is a natural ligand for formyl peptide receptor-like receptor 2 (FPRL2) and promotes calcium mobilization and chemotaxis in monocytes and dendritic cells. Uniprot Description
HEBP1: May bind free porphyrinogens that may be present in the cell and thus facilitate removal of these potentially toxic compound. Binds with a high affinity to one molecule of heme or porphyrins. It binds metalloporphyrins, free porphyrins and N- methylprotoporphyrin with similar affinities. Belongs to the HEBP family.
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.1
Cellular Component: mitochondrion; extracellular region; cytosol
Molecular Function: heme binding
Biological Process: circadian rhythm

Product Notes
The Mouse HEBP1 hebp1 (Catalog #AAA7245897) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7245897 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse HEBP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Heme-binding protein 1 (HEBP1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
