NCBI Description

This gene encodes a type I integral membrane protein found only in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The encoded protein is part of an N-oligosaccharyl transferase complex that links high mannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues found in the Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif of nascent polypeptide chains. This protein forms part of the regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasome and may mediate binding of ubiquitin-like domains to this proteasome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

RPN1: Essential subunit of N-oligosaccharyl transferase enzyme which catalyzes the transfer of a high mannose oligosaccharide from a lipid-linked oligosaccharide donor to an asparagine residue within an Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif in nascent polypeptide chains. Belongs to the OST1 family.

Product Notes

The Human RPN1 rpn1 (Catalog #AAA7243976) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7243976 ELISA Kit recognizes Human RPN1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dolichyl diphosphooligosaccharide protein glycosyltransferase subunit 1 (RPN1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
