Human ADP dependent glucokinase (ADPGK) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: ADP ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-ADP antibody and an ADP-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ADP-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ADP concentration since ADP from samples and ADP-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ADP antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ADP from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ADP-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ADP concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
ADPGK (EC 2.7.1.147) catalyzes the ADP-dependent phosphorylation of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate and may play a role in glycolysis, possibly during ischemic conditions (Ronimus and Morgan, 2004 [PubMed 14975750]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Uniprot Description
ADPGK: Catalyzes the phosphorylation of D-glucose to D-glucose 6-phosphate using ADP as the phosphate donor. GDP and CDP can replace ADP, but with reduced efficiency. Belongs to the ADP-dependent glucokinase family. 6 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human ADPGK adpgk (Catalog #AAA7223816) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7223816 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ADPGK. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADP dependent glucokinase (ADPGK), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
