Human Galactoside 2 Alpha L fucosyltransferase 2 (FUT2) ELISA Kit | FUT2 elisa kit
Human Galactoside 2 Alpha L fucosyltransferase 2 (FUT2) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: FUT2 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a Polyclonal anti-FUT2 antibody and an FUT2-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with FUT2-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the FUT2 concentration since FUT2 from samples and FUT2-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-FUT2 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by FUT2 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind FUT2-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The FUT2 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a Golgi stack membrane protein that is involved in the creation of a precursor of the H antigen, which is required for the final step in the soluble A and B antigen synthesis pathway. This gene is one of two encoding the galactoside 2-L-fucosyltransferase enzyme. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
FUT2: Creates a soluble precursor oligosaccharide FuC-alpha ((1,2)Galbeta-) called the H antigen which is an essential substrate for the final step in the soluble A and B antigen synthesis pathway. H and Se enzymes fucosylate the same acceptor substrates but exhibit different Km values. Belongs to the glycosyltransferase 11 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative initiation.

Product Notes
The Human FUT2 fut2 (Catalog #AAA7221572) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7221572 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FUT2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Galactoside 2 Alpha L fucosyltransferase 2 (FUT2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
