Uniprot Description

KCNK3: pH-dependent, voltage-insensitive, background potassium channel protein. Rectification direction results from potassium ion concentration on either side of the membrane. Acts as an outward rectifier when external potassium concentration is low. When external potassium concentration is high, current is inward. Widespread expression in adult. Strongest expression in pancreas and placenta. Lower expression in brain, lung, prostate, heart, kidney, uterus, small intestine and colon. Belongs to the two pore domain potassium channel (TC 1.A.1.8) family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Channel, potassium; Membrane protein, multi-pass

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to plasma membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein C-terminus binding; protein homodimerization activity; potassium channel activity; open rectifier potassium channel activity; protein heterodimerization activity; potassium ion leak channel activity; ion channel activity; voltage-gated ion channel activity

Biological Process: response to drug; transport; reduction of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; ion transport; stabilization of membrane potential; potassium ion transport

Product Notes

The Kcnk3 kcnk3 (Catalog #AAA7129940) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KCNK3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KCNK3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA: 1:2000-1:5000 WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:10-1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Kcnk3 kcnk3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KCNK3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
