NCBI Description

BasR is the cognate response regulator of the BasSR two-component system. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG11614]. BasS (bacterial adaptative response, sensor-kinase) belongs to the two component system BasS/BasR, is a sensor-histidine kinase and is known to be a transmembrane protein composed of three domains: external sensory domain (amino-terminal), cytoplasmic transmitter domain (carboxyl-terminal), and transmembrane hydrophobic central domain. [More information is available at EcoCyc: EG11614].

Uniprot Description

Member of the two-component regulatory system BasS/BasR Autophosphorylates and activates BasR by phosphorylation.

Product Notes

The basS bass (Catalog #AAA7060838) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli or Yeast or Baculovirus or Mammalian Cell and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Sensor protein BasS (basS), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
