Rat anti-Mouse CD94 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-KLRD1 antibody
Rat Anti-Mouse CD94-FITC
The monoclonal antibody 18D3 reacts with the mouse CD94 receptor subunit, a 70kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD94 is expressed on the surface of NK cells, NK T cells and some memory phenotype CD8+ cells.2 When CD94 is paired with NKG2A, C, or E subunit, it binds the nonclassical MHC class Ib molecule Qa-1b and results in a CD94high population by flow cytometry.1, 2 Approximately half of NK cells do not express NKG2A, C or E; these cells express CD94 on the surface in a form that does not bind Qa-1b and is believed to be nonfunctional, producing a CD94low population by flow cytometry.1, 2 CD94 is thought to play a role in the adhesion and activation of the NK cell lineage.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 0.5 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is supplied as 0.1 mg in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
Protect conjugated forms from light. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Natural killer (NK) cells are a distinct lineage of lymphocytes that mediate cytotoxic activity and secrete cytokines upon immune stimulation. Several genes of the C-type lectin superfamily, including members of the NKG2 family, are expressed by NK cells and may be involved in the regulation of NK cell function. KLRD1 (CD94) is an antigen preferentially expressed on NK cells and is classified as a type II membrane protein because it has an external C terminus. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
Uniprot Description

Product Notes
The KLRD1 klrd1 (Catalog #AAA673582) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rat Anti-Mouse CD94-FITC reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD94 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry. Flow Cytometry Suggested Dilution: <= 1 ug/10^6 cells. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KLRD1 klrd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD94, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
