Rat anti-Mouse GM-CSF Monoclonal Antibody | anti-CSF2 antibody
Rat Anti-Mouse GM-CSF-UNLB
Western Blotting: The purified MP1-22E9 antibody is also useful for Western blotting applications. For Western blotting, a concentration of 1-5 ug/mL (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of <= 100 ng/lane of recombinant mouse GM-CSF under reducing conditions.
Neutralization: The LE/AF form of MP1-22E9 can be used for neutralizing mouse GM-CSF bioactivity. A suitable LE/AF Rat IgG2a should be used as an isotype control.
Since applications vary, each investigator should determine the optimal concentration appropriate for individual applications.
The low endotoxin, azide-free (LE/AF) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of PBS. Aliquot and store at or below -20 degree C.
Aliquot and freeze the low endotoxin, azide-free product at -20 degree C immediately upon receipt. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. This gene has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13. [provided by RefSeq]
Uniprot Description
Function: Cytokine that stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes.
Subunit structure: Monomer.
Subcellular location: Secreted.
Polymorphism: Variant Ile-117 may be a risk factor for atopic asthma.
Pharmaceutical use: Available under the names Leukine (Immunex) and Leucomax (Novartis). Used in myeloid reconstitution following bone marrow transplant, bone marrow transplant engraftment failure or delay, mobilization and following transplantation of autologous peripheral blood progenitor cells, and following induction chemotherapy in older adults with acute myelogenous leukemia.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the GM-CSF family.

Product Notes
The CSF2 csf2 (Catalog #AAA670097) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rat Anti-Mouse GM-CSF-UNLB reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GM-CSF can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA; Western Blot. Research Application(s): ELISA Capture: MP1-22E9 monoclonal antibody is useful as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying mouse GM-CSF protein levels. Purified MP1-22E9 antibody should be paired with biotinylated MP1-31G6 antibody as the detection antibody, with purified recombinant mouse GM-CSF as the standard. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CSF2 csf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GM-CSF, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
