Specificity
Recognizes most mammalian laminins and has negligible crossreactivity with Type I, II, III, IV, V or VI collagens or fibronectin. Non-specific crossreaction of anti-laminin antibodies with other human serum proteins or non-laminin extracellular matrix proteins is negligible. Typically less than 1% crossreactivity against other extracellular matrix proteins was detected by ELISA against purified standards.

Applicable Applications for anti-LAMA1 antibody
ELISA (EIA), Immunoblot, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP)
Application Notes
ELISA: 1:2000-1:4000
Immunoblot: 1:2500-1:5000
IHC: 1:25-1:100
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Full length human laminin. Immunization occurred after single-band purity was assessed by SDS-PAGE.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of the alpha 1 subunits of laminin. The laminins are a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins that have a heterotrimeric structure consisting of an alpha, beta and gamma chain. These proteins make up a major component of the basement membrane and have been implicated in a wide variety of biological processes including cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling, neurite outgrowth and metastasis. Mutations in this gene may be associated with Poretti-Boltshauser syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Product Notes

The LAMA1 lama1 (Catalog #AAA6484680) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Laminin (APC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Laminin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunoblot, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). ELISA: 1:2000-1:4000 Immunoblot: 1:2500-1:5000 IHC: 1:25-1:100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LAMA1 lama1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Laminin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
