Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma using MBS6480911 and peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS6480911 for immunohistochemistry.)
Flow Cytometry (FC)
(Flow Cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood lymphocytes cells using MBS6480911 (green) compared to an isotype control of rabbit IgG (blue). MBS6480911 was diluted at 1:25 dilution. An Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG at 1:400 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
HLA-B belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. This class I molecule is a heterodimer consisting of a heavy chain and a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain is anchored in the membrane. Class I molecules play a central role in the immune system by presenting peptides derived from the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. They are expressed in nearly all cells. The heavy chain is approximately 45 kDa and its gene contains 8 exons. Exon 1 encodes the leader peptide, exon 2 and 3 encode the alpha1 and alpha2 domains, which both bind the peptide, exon 4 encodes the alpha3 domain, exon 5 encodes the transmembrane region and exons 6 and 7 encode the cytoplasmic tail. Polymorphisms within exon 2 and exon 3 are responsible for the peptide binding specificity of each class one molecule. Typing for these polymorphisms is routinely done for bone marrow and kidney transplantation. Hundreds of HLA-B alleles have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

The HLAB hla-b (Catalog #AAA6480911) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's HLA Class 1 Antigen B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Other potential application, though not tested is Direct Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HLAB hla-b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HLA Class 1 Antigen B, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
