Rabbit anti-Human ADRA2B Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ADRA2B antibody
ADRA2B, ID (Alpha-2B Adrenergic Receptor, Alpha-2B Adrenoreceptor, Alpha-2B Adrenoceptor, Alpha-2BAR, Alpha-2 Adrenergic Receptor Subtype C2, ADRA2L1, ADRA2RL1) (Biotin)
ELISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of ADRA2B Antibody (Center) in MDA-MB231 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ADRA2B (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma with ADRA2B Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow cytometric analysis of MDA-231 cells using ADRA2B Antibody (Center)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of ADRA2B Antibody (Center) with MDA-MB231 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Alpha-2-adrenergic receptors are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. They include 3 highly homologous subtypes: alpha2A, alpha2B, and alpha2C. These receptors have a critical role in regulating neurotransmitter release from sympathetic nerves and from adrenergic neurons in the central nervous system. This intronless gene encodes the alpha2B subtype, which was observed to associate with eIF-2B, a guanine nucleotide exchange protein that functions in regulation of translation. A polymorphic variant of the alpha2B subtype, which lacks 3 glutamic acids from a glutamic acid repeat element, was identified to have decreased G protein-coupled receptor kinase-mediated phosphorylation and desensitization; this polymorphic form is also associated with reduced basal metabolic rate in obese subjects and may therefore contribute to the pathogenesis of obesity. Uniprot Description
ADRA2B: Alpha-2 adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine- induced inhibition of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. The rank order of potency for agonists of this receptor is clonidine > norepinephrine > epinephrine = oxymetazoline > dopamine > p-tyramine = phenylephrine > serotonin > p-synephrine / p-octopamine. For antagonists, the rank order is yohimbine > chlorpromazine > phentolamine > mianserine > spiperone > prazosin > alprenolol > propanolol > pindolol. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Adrenergic receptor subfamily. ADRA2B sub-subfamily.

Product Notes
The ADRA2B adra2b (Catalog #AAA6461766) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ADRA2B, ID (Alpha-2B Adrenergic Receptor, Alpha-2B Adrenoreceptor, Alpha-2B Adrenoceptor, Alpha-2BAR, Alpha-2 Adrenergic Receptor Subtype C2, ADRA2L1, ADRA2RL1) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ADRA2B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:100-1:500 ELISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADRA2B adra2b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADRA2B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
