Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene was identified by involvement in some t(X;14) translocations associated with mature T-cell proliferations. This region has a complex gene structure, with a common promoter and 5' exon spliced to two different sets of 3' exons that encode two different proteins. This gene represents the upstream 13 kDa protein that is a member of the TCL1 family. This protein may be involved in leukemogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
Uniprot Description
MTCPB: Enhances the phosphorylation and activation of AKT1 and AKT2. Detected in T-cell leukemia bearing a t(X;14) translocation. Plays a key role in T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia. Belongs to the TCL1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Oncoprotein
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xq28
Cellular Component: mitochondrion
Biological Process: cell proliferation

Product Notes
The MTCP1 mtcp1 (Catalog #AAA6457443) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MTCP1 (Protein p13 MTCP-1, p13MTCP1, Mature T-Cell proliferation-1 Type B1, MTCP-1 Type B1, MTCP1, C61B) (MaxLight 405) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MTCP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:2000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MTCP1 mtcp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MTCP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
