Related Product Information for anti-SCAND1 antibody
The SCAN domain is a highly conserved, leucine-rich motif of approximately 60 aa originally found within a subfamily of zinc finger proteins. This gene belongs to a family of genes that encode an isolated SCAN domain, but no zinc finger motif. Functional studies have established that the SCAN box is a protein interaction domain that mediates both hetero-and homoprotein associations, and maybe involved in regulation of transcriptional activity. Two transcript variants with different 5' UTRs, but encoding the same protein, have been described for this gene.

NCBI Description
This gene encodes a SCAN box domain-containing protein. The SCAN domain is a highly conserved, leucine-rich motif of approximately 60 aa originally found within a subfamily of zinc finger proteins. This gene belongs to a family of genes that encode an isolated SCAN domain, but no zinc finger motif. This protein binds to and may regulate the function of the transcription factor myeloid zinc finger 1B. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]

Product Notes
The SCAND1 scand1 (Catalog #
AAA6345216) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SCAND1, CT (SCAND1, SDP1, SCAN domain-containing protein 1) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SCAND1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SCAND1 scand1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"SCAND1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
