Related Product Information for anti-IKK alpha, C1 antibody
Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and an essential mediator of gene expression during activation of immune and inflammatory responses. NF-kB mediates the expression of a great variety of genes in response to extracellular stimuli including IL-1, TNFa, and bacteria product LPS. NF-kB is associated with IkB proteins in the cell cytoplasm, which inhibit NF-kB activity. The long-sought IkB kinase (IKK), which phosphorylates IkB, and mediates IkB degradation and NF-kB activation, was recently identified by several laboratories. IKK is a serine protein kinase, and the IKK complex contains alpha and beta subunits (IKKa and IKKb). IKKa and IKKb interact with each other and both are essential for the NF-kB activation. IKKa specifically phosphorylates IkB-a. IKKa is expressed in variety of human tissues.

Product Notes

The IKK alpha, C1 (Catalog #AAA629985) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IKK alpha, C1 (Ika Kinase) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IKK alpha, C1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IKK alpha, C1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IKK alpha, C1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
