Related Product Information for anti-FOXO4 antibody
Several studies indicate that FKHR and AFX, mammalian homologues of the Caenorhabditis elegans forkhead transcription factor DAF-16, function in the insulin signaling pathway promoter contains one IRS, while in the IGFBP-1 promoter two copies of IRS are arranged as an inverted palindrome. Three tandem copies of IRSs are present in the G6Pase. AFX has been recently shown to serve as a substrate of PKB both in vitro and in vivo, and its transcriptional activity is inhibited by phosphorylation.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the O class of winged helix/forkhead transcription factor family. Proteins encoded by this class are regulated by factors involved in growth and differentiation indicating they play a role in these processes. A translocation involving this gene on chromosome X and the homolog of the Drosophila trithorax gene, encoding a DNA binding protein, located on chromosome 11 is associated with leukemia. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

FOXO4: transcription factor AFX1 containing 1 fork-head domain. May play a role in the insulin signaling pathway. Involved in acute leukemias by a chromosomal translocation t(X;11)(q13;q23) that involves MLLT7 and MLL/HRX. The result is a rogue activator protein. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The FOXO4 foxo4 (Catalog #AAA629222) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AFX, phosphorylated (Ser197) (Forkhead Box Protein O4, Fork Head Domain Transcription Factor AFX1, FOXO4, AFX1, MLLT7) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AFX can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot:1:500-1:1,000 Immunohistochemistry:1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FOXO4 foxo4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AFX, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
