Related Product Information for anti-BT3A2 antibody
This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, containing two Ig domains with similarity to Ig variable and Ig constant domains. The gene resides in the juxta-telomeric region of the major histocompatability class 1 locus on chromosome 6 in the seven member BTN cluster, which includes butyrophilin, and three members each of the BTN2 and BTN3 subfamilies.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, which resides in the juxta-telomeric region of the major histocompatability class 1 locus and is clustered with the other family members on chromosome 6. The encoded protein may be involved in the adaptive immune response. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2013]

Uniprot Description

BTN3A2: a member of the butyrophilin (BTN) family and the immunoglobulin (IG) superfamily. The gene resides in the juxta-telomeric region of the major histocompatability class 1 locus and is clustered with the other six family members, including BTN, BTN2A1, BTN2A2, BTN2A3, BTN3A1, and BTN3A3, on chromosome 6. The full-length protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010]

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6p22.1

Product Notes

The BT3A2 btn3a2 (Catalog #AAA6279089) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BT3A2, CT (Butyrophilin subfamily 3 member A2, BTF4, BTF3, BT3.2, BTN3A2) (APC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BT3A2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BT3A2 btn3a2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BT3A2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
