Related Product Information for anti-Endoplasmic Reticulum Associated Amyloid Beta Binding Protein antibody
An intracellular protein termed ERAB (262aa, Endoplasmic reticulum associated Ab binding protein on chromosome X) has been cloned and linked with Ab neurotoxicity. ERAB has structural homology with short-chain alcohol dehydrogenases (hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases and acetyl-CoA reductases). Interestingly, ERAB localizes to endoplasmic reticulum despite the absence of a classical transmembrane sequence. However, in the presence of Ab, ERAB-Ab complex translates to the inner plasma membrane. Alzheimer patients have strong ERAB activity. Normal brains have virtually no ERAB. In addition, Ab neurotoxicity can be reduced by blocking ERAB.

Product Notes

The Endoplasmic Reticulum Associated Amyloid Beta Binding Protein (Catalog #AAA615689) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Endoplasmic Reticulum Associated Amyloid Beta Binding Protein (ERAB) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Endoplasmic Reticulum Associated Amyloid Beta Binding Protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000. Detects ~27kD protein in the brain ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 using 50-100ng of control peptide/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Endoplasmic Reticulum Associated Amyloid Beta Binding Protein for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Endoplasmic Reticulum Associated Amyloid Beta Binding Protein, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
