Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 for neat serum and 1-10ug/ml for affinity pure using ECL. An antibody raised against this epitope has been used for Westerns (3) to detect a broad band of 28-30kD. Additional high MW. bands (aggregated Cx32) may also be detected.

Immunogen
A 19 amino acid peptide sequence within the 2nd cytoplasmic domain of the rat Cx32 (2) was used to generate anti-rat Cx32. Amino terminal Cysteine was added for conjugation to KLH (carrier protein)
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
