In vertebrate photoreceptors, some neurons, and certain other cells, 3 K+ are transported in the same direction as Ca2+, with coupling ratio of 4 Na+ to 1 Ca2+ plus 1 K+ by new class of exchangers called NCKX for K+-dependent Na/Ca+2 exchangers. NCKX share the general topology and functional properties of NCX proteins. Rod exchangers also contains a large hydrophilic segment at the its N-terminus that is not found in NCX. NCKX1 (human 1099/1081 aa, bovine 1199 aa) is expressed in retinal rod cells. NCKX2 (rat 670 aa) shares 80% identity with NCKX1. The two hydrophilic loops are also much shorter in NKKX2 than in NCKX1, accounting largely for the difference between the size of the two proteins. NCKX2 is expressed in various regions of the brain (striatum, parietal cortex, cerebellum, hippocampus, etc).

Product Notes
The NCKX2 (Catalog #AAA613430) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NCKX2 (K+-dependent, Na Ca Exchanger 2) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NCKX2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml using ECL. ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. Coat with 1ug Control Peptide. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NCKX2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NCKX2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
