NCBI Description

HSP90 proteins are highly conserved molecular chaperones that have key roles in signal transduction, protein folding, protein degradation, and morphologic evolution. HSP90 proteins normally associate with other cochaperones and play important roles in folding newly synthesized proteins or stabilizing and refolding denatured proteins after stress. HSP90B1 is an endoplasmic reticulum HSP90 protein. Other HSP90 proteins are found in cytosol (see HSP90AA1; MIM 140571) and mitochondria (TRAP1; MIM 606219) (Chen et al., 2005 [PubMed 16269234]).[supplied by OMIM]

Uniprot Description

GRP94: Molecular chaperone that functions in the processing and transport of secreted proteins. When associated with CNPY3, required for proper folding of Toll-like receptors. Functions in endoplasmic reticulum associated degradation (ERAD). Has ATPase activity. Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Component of an EIF2 complex at least composed of CELF1/CUGBP1, CALR, CALR3, EIF2S1, EIF2S2, HSP90B1 and HSPA5. Part a large chaperone multiprotein complex comprising DNAJB11, HSP90B1, HSPA5, HYOU, PDIA2, PDIA4, PDIA6, PPIB, SDF2L1, UGT1A1 and very small amounts of ERP29, but not, or at very low levels, CALR nor CANX. Interacts with AIMP1; regulates its retention in the endoplasmic reticulum. Interacts with OS9. Interacts with CNPY3. This interaction is disrupted in the presence of ATP. Interacts with TLR4 and TLR9, but not with TLR3. Belongs to the heat shock protein 90 family.

Product Notes

The HSP90B1 hsp90b1 (Catalog #AAA607676) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Glucose Regulated Protein 94 (Grp94, gp96, ECGP, Endoplasmin, Heat Shock Protein 90kD beta Member 1, HSP90b1, Stress Inducible Tumor Rejection Antigen gp96, Tumor Rejection Antigen 1, TRA1) reacts with Bovine, Canine, Human, Mouse, Porcine, Rat0 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Glucose Regulated Protein 94 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 0.01-0.03ug/ml, observed in lysates of mouse and rat liver and of cell lines NIH3T3 and NSO on ~100kD bands Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 3-5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HSP90B1 hsp90b1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glucose Regulated Protein 94, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
