Related Product Information for anti-Endogenous Retrovirus Type K, Envelope Protein antibody
Endogenous retroviruses contribute to the evolution of the host genome and can be associated with diseases in their hosts. Human endogenous retrovirus K (HERV-K) is related to mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) and is present in the genomes of catarrhines (humans, apes, and cercopithecoids (old world monkeys)). All humans have about 30 to 50 HERV-K proviruses in their germline DNA. Expression of HERV-K genes has been reported in several tissues including male germ cell tumors and normal placenta where budding viral particles can be detected.

Product Notes

The Endogenous Retrovirus Type K, Envelope Protein (Catalog #AAA602670) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Endogenous Retrovirus Type K, Envelope Protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). ELISA: 1:8000 Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Endogenous Retrovirus Type K, Envelope Protein for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Endogenous Retrovirus Type K, Envelope Protein, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
