NCBI Description
This gene is a member of the synaptotagmin gene family and encodes a protein similar to other family members that mediate calcium-dependent regulation of membrane trafficking in synaptic transmission. A similar protein in rodents mediates hormone secretion and lysosome exocytosis. In humans, expression of this gene has been associated with prostate cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]

Product Notes
The SYT7 syt7 (Catalog #
AAA6011756) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SYT7, NT (SYT7, PCANAP7, Synaptotagmin-7, IPCA-7, Prostate cancer-associated protein 7, Synaptotagmin VII) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SYT7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SYT7 syt7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"SYT7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
