Biological Significance
Biotin is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin(vitamin B7)that is composed of a ureido (tetrahydoimidizalone) ring fused with a tetrahydrothiophene ring. A valeric acid substituent is attached to one of the carbon atoms of the tetrahydrothiophene ring. Biotin is a coenzyme in the metabolism of faty acids and leucine, and it plays a role in gluconeogenesis.

Product Notes

The Biotin bira (Catalog #AAA535090) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Biotin antibody reacts with Monospecific antisera by IEP.This serum reacts only to Biotin. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Biotin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Suitable applications include ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB) Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and Immunoprecipitation. ELISA: 1:100,000-1:500,000 WB: 1:10,000-1:50,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Biotin bira for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Biotin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
