Related Product Information for FAM20C recombinant protein
Recombinant human FAM20C (23-end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. The gene accession number is BC040074.
FAM20C is Golgi casein kinase that phosphorylates secretory proteins within a Serx-Glu/pSer motif. It phosphorylates caseins and several other secretory proteins including AMTN, ENAM, SPP1 and the small integrin-binding ligand N-linked glycoproteins that are involved in biomineralization (1). FAM20C null mice develop hypophosphatemic rickets along with significant downregulation of osteoblast differentiation markers (2). Mutations in FAM20C gene are associated with Raine syndrome, an osteosclerotic bone dysplasia in humans (3). Additionally, FAM20C is implicated in other physiological processes, such as wound healing, regeneration, and cell migration (4).

Product Notes

The FAM20C (Catalog #AAA516994) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's FAM20C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FAM20C for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FAM20C, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
