Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow cytometry using the Anti-IFN-gamma receptor 1 antibody GR20 (MBS488632). Paraformaldehyde fixed mouse splenocytes permeabilized with 0.5% Triton were stained with anti-unknown specificity antibody (MBS488149; isotype control, black line) or the rabbit IgG version of GR20 (, blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing, the bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-rabbit IgG AlexaFluor 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.)

Uniprot Description

Function: Receptor for interferon gamma. Two receptors bind one interferon gamma dimer.

Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.

Post-translational modification: Phosphorylated at Ser/Thr residues.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the type II cytokine receptor family.Contains 2 fibronectin type-III domains.Contains 2 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.

Sequence caution: The sequence AAA37895.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally extended.

Product Notes

The IFN-gamma ifngr1 (Catalog #AAA488632) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-IFN-gamma receptor 1 [GR20] reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IFN-gamma receptor 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL), Neutralizing (NEU), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). This antibody is recomended as an efficient blocking agent for the interferon gamma receptor (Basu et al. 1988). It has been also used in the flow cytometric analyses of this receptor protein. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFN-gamma ifngr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IFN-gamma receptor 1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
