Host
Mouse
Reactivity
Human
Isotype
IgG1, kappa
Clone Number
rLPSR/2408
Specificity
Recognizes a protein of 55kDa, identified as CD14 (also known lipopolysaccharide receptor). CD14 is expressed strongly on monocytes and macrophage and weakly on the surface of neutrophils. CD14 is anchored to cells by linkage to glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) and functions as a high affinity receptor for complexes of LPS and LPS binding protein (LBP). Soluble CD14, also binding to LPS, acts at physiological concentration as an LPS agonist and has, at higher concentrations, an LPS antagonizing effect in cell activation.
Purity/Purification
Purified Ab with BSA and Azide at 200ug/ml OR Purified Ab WITHOUT BSA and Azide at 1.0mg/ml
Form/Format
200ug/ml of Ab Purified from Bioreactor Concentrate by Protein A/G. Prepared in 10mM PBS with 0.05% BSA & 0.05% azide. Also available WITHOUT BSA & azide at 1.0mg/ml.
Sequence Length
375
Applicable Applications for anti-CD14 antibody
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin
Application Notes
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT) (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes)
Positive Control
A549, THP-1 cells and human monocytes. Lymph nodes and tonsils.
Immunogen
Recombinant fragment of human CD14 protein (around aa 25-148) (exact sequence is proprietary)
Cellular Localization
Cell Surface

Recombinant Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Preparation and Storage
Antibody with azide: store at 2 to 8 degree C.
Antibody without azide: store at -20 to -80 degree C.
Antibody is stable for 24 months. Non-hazardous. No MSDS required.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a surface antigen that is preferentially expressed on monocytes/macrophages. It cooperates with other proteins to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. Product Notes

The CD14 cd14 (Catalog #AAA4381404) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD14 (Monocyte/Macrophage Marker) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD14 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin. Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT) (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD14 cd14 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD14, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
