NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is the CD3-epsilon polypeptide, which together with CD3-gamma, -delta and -zeta, and the T-cell receptor alpha/beta and gamma/delta heterodimers, forms the T-cell receptor-CD3 complex. This complex plays an important role in coupling antigen recognition to several intracellular signal-transduction pathways. The genes encoding the epsilon, gamma and delta polypeptides are located in the same cluster on chromosome 11. The epsilon polypeptide plays an essential role in T-cell development. Defects in this gene cause immunodeficiency. This gene has also been linked to a susceptibility to type I diabetes in women. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CD3E: a T cell surface glycoprotein that is a component of the T cell antigen receptor. The recruitment of Nck by CD3 epsilon reveals a ligand-induced conformational change essential for T cell receptor signaling and synapse formation. Contains 1 immunoglobulin-like domain and 1 ITAM domain.

Product Notes
The CD3E cd3e (Catalog #AAA423329) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-CD3E (cytoplasmic) Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Rat, Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD3E can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000. Western Blot: Approx 22kDa band observed in lysates of cell lines Jurkat and Molt4 (calculated MW of 23.1kDa according to NP_000724.1). Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD3E cd3e for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: RKGQRDLYSG LNQR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD3E, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
