Goat CDKAL1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CDKAL1 antibody
Goat anti-CDKAL1 Antibody
Western Blot: This antibody has been described in a publication and it has been successfully used on Human islets and pancreatic insulinoma INS-1 and MIN6 cells. Preliminary experiments gave an approx.39kDa band in Human Brain (Cerebellum) lysates after 0.5ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 65.1kDa according to NP_060244.2. The 39kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the methylthiotransferase family. The function of this gene is not known. Genome-wide association studies have linked single nucleotide polymorphisms in an intron of this gene with susceptibilty to type 2 diabetes. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
Uniprot Description
CDKAL1: Catalyzes the methylthiolation of N6- threonylcarbamoyladenosine (t(6)A), leading to the formation of 2- methylthio-N6-threonylcarbamoyladenosine (ms(2)t(6)A) at position 37 in tRNAs that read codons beginning with adenine. Belongs to the methylthiotransferase family. CDKAL1 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDKAL1 cdkal1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: QVKKQRTKDL SR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDKAL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
