Applicable Applications for anti-CCL3L1 antibody
Peptide ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 26+28kDa (doublet) and 40kDa in Human Bone Marrow and Spleen lysates after 0.1ug/ml antibody staining. The 26+28kDa doublet was also found in Human Lymph Node and in Tonsil lysates. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 10.2kDa according to NP_066286.1. The detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain these bands).
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-EWVQKYVSDLELSA, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_002974.1; NP_066286.1.
Epitope
C Terminus
Note
Please note this product is expected to recognize the products of 2 different genes which are almost identical.
Preparation and Storage
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Minimize freezing and thawing.

NCBI Description

This locus represents a small inducible cytokine. The encoded protein, also known as macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha, plays a role in inflammatory responses through binding to the receptors CCR1, CCR4 and CCR5. Polymorphisms at this locus may be associated with both resistance and susceptibility to infection by human immunodeficiency virus type 1.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]

Uniprot Description

CCL3: Monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. Binds to CCR1, CCR4 and CCR5. One of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells. Recombinant MIP-1-alpha induces a dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HIV-1, HIV-2, and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV). Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Product Notes

The CCL3L1 ccl3 (Catalog #AAA420635) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-CCL3 and CCL3L1 Antibody reacts with Expected from sequence similarity: Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCL3 and CCL3L1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL3L1 ccl3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: EWVQKYVSDL ELSA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL3 and CCL3L1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
