Goat CRP2/CSRP2 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CSRP2 antibody
Goat anti-CRP2/CSRP2 Antibody
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Lung shows staining of the endothelial cells of a blood vessel. Recommended concentration, 3-6ug/ml.
Western Blot: Approx 26kDa band observed in Human Heart and Kidney lysates and in Mouse and Rat Kidney lysates (calculated MW of 21. 0kDa according to NP_001312.1). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Huber et al, J Biol Chem.2000 Feb 25;275(8): 5504-11; PMID: 10681529). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing CRP2 a band of approx.26kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3ug/ml.
Western Blot (WB)
((0.2ug/ml) staining of Human (A), Mouse (B) and Rat (C) Kidney lysates (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence)
Western Blot (WB)
(HEK293 overexpressing CRP2 (RC201565) and probed (mock transfection in first lane), tested by Origene.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
((3.8ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Lung. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, AP-staining.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
CSRP2 is a member of the CSRP family of genes, encoding a group of LIM domain proteins, which may be involved in regulatory processes important for development and cellular differentiation. CRP2 contains two copies of the cysteine-rich amino acid sequence motif (LIM) with putative zinc-binding activity, and may be involved in regulating ordered cell growth. Other genes in the family include CSRP1 and CSRP3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Uniprot Description
CSRP2: a LIM protein that is differentially regulated and preferentially expressed in aortic smooth muscle cells. Drastically down-regulated in response to PDGF-BB or cell injury, that promote smooth muscle cell proliferation and dedifferentiation. Seems to play a role in the development of the embryonic vascular system.

Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CSRP2 csrp2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: ERLGIKPESV QP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CRP2/CSRP2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
