Related Product Information for anti-ASB4 antibody
This gene is a member of the ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (ASB) family of proteins. They contain ankyrin repeat sequence and SOCS box domain. The SOCS box serves to couple suppressor of cytokine signalling (SOCS) proteins and their binding partners with the elongin B and C complex, possibly targeting them for degradation. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene but some of the full length sequences are not known. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (ASB) family of proteins.

Uniprot Description

ASB4: Probable substrate-recognition component of a SCF-like ECS (Elongin-Cullin-SOCS-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Promotes differentiation and maturation of the vascular lineage by an oxygen-dependent mechanism. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Unknown function

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7q21-q22

Cellular Component: Cul2-RING ubiquitin ligase complex; Cul5-RING ubiquitin ligase complex

Molecular Function: ubiquitin protein ligase binding; ubiquitin-protein ligase activity

Biological Process: protein autoubiquitination

Product Notes

The ASB4 asb4 (Catalog #AAA416245) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-ASB4 Antibody reacts with Human. Predicted: Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ASB4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ELISA titer: 1:20,000-1:80,000 Western blot analysis: 1:1,000-1:2,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:500 Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ASB4 asb4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ASB4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
