Specificity
This is an affinity purified antibody produced by immunoaffinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide after immobilization to a solid phase. This antibody detects a band of the appropriate size in a number of different cell lines. However, it does not detect a band in cell lines that do not express artemis, such as the cell line CJ (see figure) and in an hTERT line (not shown).

Applicable Applications for anti-ARTEMIS antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, immunohistochemistry and western blotting. Reactivity in other immunoassays is unknown. This antibody detects a band of approximately 90 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 78 kDa).
Immunogen
This affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole goat serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding aa 482-495 of Human ARTEMIS (DCLRE1C DNA cross-link repair 1C).
Preparation and Storage
This product is stable for several weeks at 4 degree C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at-20 degree C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.

Related Product Information for anti-ARTEMIS antibody
Artemis has a role in T and B lymphocyte immunodeficiency and in predisposition to lymphoma through the NHEJ pathway of DNA repair. DNAPKcs regulates Artemis by both phosphorylation and complex formation to permit enzymatic activities that are critical for the hairpin-opening step of V(D)J recombination and for the 5' and 3' overhang processing in non-homologous DNA end joining.

Product Notes

The ARTEMIS (Catalog #AAA4157765) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Human ARTEMIS (DCLRE1C DNA Cross-Link Repair 1C) Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARTEMIS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, immunohistochemistry and western blotting. Reactivity in other immunoassays is unknown. This antibody detects a band of approximately 90 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 78 kDa). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARTEMIS for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARTEMIS, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
