Retinoblastoma Protein 1; Human Retinoblastoma Protein 1 ELISA Kit; RB1 elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human RB1 and analogues was observed.
Sequence Length
16
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
31.2 ng/ml - 1000 ng/ml.
Sensitivity
5.0 ng/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated RB1 concentrations in Human serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Human RB1 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add RB1 and RB1 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of RB1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information

NCBI GI #
NCBI GeneID
NCBI Official Full Name
retinoblastoma, partial

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. The encoded protein also stabilizes constitutive heterochromatin to maintain the overall chromatin structure. The active, hypophosphorylated form of the protein binds transcription factor E2F1. Defects in this gene are a cause of childhood cancer retinoblastoma (RB), bladder cancer, and osteogenic sarcoma. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Human RB1 (Catalog #AAA038165) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA038165 ELISA Kit recognizes Human RB1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Retinoblastoma Protein 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
