Related Product Information for anti-BATF2 antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against BATF2. It was validated on Western Blot

Target Description: BATF2 is a AP-1 family transcription factor that controls the differentiation of lineage-specific cells in the immune system. Following infection, it participates in the differentiation of CD8(+) thymic conventional dendritic cells in the immune system. It acts via the formation of a heterodimer with JUN family proteins that recognizes and binds DNA sequence 5'-TGA[CG]TCA-3' and regulates expression of target genes (By similarity). It selectively suppresses CYR61/CCN1 transcription and hence blocks the downstream cell proliferation signals produced by CYR61 and inhibits CYR61-induced anchorage-independent growth and invasion in several cancer types, such as breast cancer, malignant glioma and metastatic melanoma. It possibly acts by interfering with AP-1 binding to CYR61 promoter.

Uniprot Description

AP-1 family transcription factor that controls the differentiation of lineage-specific cells in the immune system. Following infection, participates in the differentiation of CD8+ thymic conventional dendritic cells in the immune system. Acts via the formation of a heterodimer with JUN family proteins that recognizes and binds DNA sequence 5'-TGA[CG]TCA-3' and regulates expression of target genes (). Selectively suppresses CYR61/CCN1 transcription and hence blocks the downstream cell proliferation signals produced by CYR61 and inhibits CYR61-induced anchorage-independent growth and invasion in several cancer types, such as breast cancer, malignant glioma and metastatic melanoma. Possibly acts by interfering with AP-1 binding to CYR61 promoter.

Product Notes

The BATF2 batf2 (Catalog #AAA3208725) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BATF2 Antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Human, Yeast and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BATF2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BATF2 batf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: CGGNGLLTQT DPKEQQRQLK KQKNRAAAQR SRQKHTDKAD ALHQQHESLE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BATF2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
