Related Product Information for anti-PLC3 antibody
A total of eight mammalian PLC isozymes have been described (PLC beta1, PLC beta2, PLC beta3, PLC beta4, PLC gamma1, PLC gamma2, PLC delta1 and PLC delta2) with molecular weights ranging from 85 to 150 kDa. The gamma-type enzymes are unique in that they contain SH2 and SH3 domains. Moreover, the two gamma-type enzymes, but not the beta and delta isozymes, are subject to activation by a number of protein tyrosine kinases which associate with their SH2 domains and induce their activation by phosphoryation. In contrast, activation of PLC beta1, PLC beta2 and PLC beta3 is mediated by the alpha subunits of the Gq class of heterotrimeric G proteins and by certain betagamma G protein subunits. The regulatory mechanisms for PLC delta1 and PLC delta2 are as yet not resolved.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the phosphoinositide phospholipase C beta enzyme family that catalyze the production of the secondary messengers diacylglycerol and inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate from phosphatidylinositol in G-protein-linked receptor-mediated signal transduction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

PLCB3: a phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C. Binds to calmodulin. The activated enzyme produces the second messenger molecules diacylglycerol and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate.

Protein type: EC 3.1.4.11; Carbohydrate Metabolism - inositol phosphate; Phospholipase

Product Notes

The PLC3 plcb3 (Catalog #AAA3005418) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PLC beta3 (Phospho-S537) Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PLC beta3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLC3 plcb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PLC beta3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
