Mouse Phospholipase D2 ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is a member of the phospholipase D (PLD) superfamily. The encoded protein catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphatidylcholine to phosphatidic acid and choline. Phosphatidic acid is an essential intracellular lipid second messenger for many signaling pathways and has been implicated in a variety of physiological processes including cytoskeletal organization and cell proliferation. A similar gene in human may also function as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for the small GTPase Rac2. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Uniprot Description
PLD2: a phosphatidylcholine-specific phospholipase D. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of PC to produce phosphatidic acid and choline. Activated as a consequence of agonist stimulation of both tyrosine kinase and G protein-coupled receptors. May function in regulated secretion, cytoskeletal reorganization, transcriptional regulation, and cell cycle control. Enriched in caveolae; may be involved in MEK/ERK signaling cascades induced by the VEGF/VEGFR-2/PKC-delta pathway in endothelial cells. Three alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The Mouse Pld2 pld2 (Catalog #AAA2887264) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2887264 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Pld2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phospholipase D2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
