Mouse Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 2 (KCNH2) ELISA Kit
Overview: 11.1 potassium ion channel. This ion channel (sometimes simply denoted as 'hERG') is best known for its contribution to the electrical activity of the heart that coordinates the heart's beating (i.e., the hERG channel mediates the repolarizing IKr current in the cardiac action potential). When this channel's ability to conduct electrical current across the cell membrane is inhibited or compromised, either by application of drugs or by rare mutations in some families, it can result in a potentially fatal disorder called long QT syndrome; a number of clinically successful drugs in the market have had the tendency to inhibit hERG, and create a concomitant risk of sudden death, as an unwanted side effect, which has made hERG inhibition an important antitarget which must be avoided during drug development
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Pore-forming (alpha) subunit of voltage-gated inwardly rectifying potassium channel. Channel properties are modulated by cAMP and subunit assembly. Mediates the rapidly activating component of the delayed rectifying potassium current in heart (IKr) ().

Product Notes
The Mouse KCNH2 kcnh2 (Catalog #AAA287576) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA287576 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse KCNH2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 2 (KCNH2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
