Human Polycystic kidney disease and receptor for egg jelly-related protein ELISA Kit | PKDREJ elisa kit
Human Polycystic kidney disease and receptor for egg jelly-related protein (PKDREJ) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for PKDREJ and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated PKDREJ. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled PKDREJ and unlabeled PKDREJ with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of PKDREJ in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This intronless gene encodes a member of the polycystin protein family. The encoded protein contains 11 transmembrane domains, a receptor for egg jelly (REJ) domain, a G-protein-coupled receptor proteolytic site (GPS) domain, and a polycystin-1, lipoxygenase, alpha-toxin (PLAT) domain. This protein may play a role in human reproduction. Alternative splice variants have been described but their biological natures have not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
PKDREJ: May have a central role in fertilization. May generate a Ca(2+) transporting channel directly involved in initiating the acrosome reaction of the sperm. Belongs to the polycystin family.

Product Notes
The Human PKDREJ pkdrej (Catalog #AAA281636) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA281636 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PKDREJ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Polycystic kidney disease and receptor for egg jelly-related protein, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
