Related Product Information for ZDHHC11 elisa kit
ZDHHC11 belongs to the DHHC palmitoyltransferase family.Contains 1 DHHC-type zinc finger. The DHHC domain is required for palmitoyltransferase activity. In molecular biology the DHHC domain is a protein domain that acts as an enzyme, which adds a palmitoyl chemical group to proteins in order to anchor them to cell membranes. The DHHC domain was discovered in 1999 and named after a conserved sequence motif found in its protein sequence. Roth and colleagues showed that the yeast Akr1p protein could palmitoylate Yck2p in vitro and inferred that the DHHC domain defined a large family of palmitoyltransferases. In mammals twenty three members of this family have been identified and their substrate specificities investigated.Several members of the family have been implicated in human diseases.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ZDHHC11 in samples. An antibody specific for ZDHHC11 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyZDHHC11 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ZDHHC11 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ZDHHC11 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Product Notes

The Human ZDHHC11 zdhhc11 (Catalog #AAA281147) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA281147 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ZDHHC11. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Probable palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC11, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
