Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Instant Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Instant Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
CV(%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Test Principle
The test principle applied in this kit is enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Instant Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH). Standards or samples and HRP-labeled detection antibody specific to Instant Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) (Detection Reagent A) are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells. Next, TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Instant Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), and HRP-labeled detection antibody will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Instant Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

NCBI Description

The four human glycoprotein hormones chorionic gonadotropin (CG), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are dimers consisting of alpha and beta subunits that are associated noncovalently. The alpha subunits of these hormones are identical, however, their beta chains are unique and confer biological specificity. The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha subunit and belongs to the glycoprotein hormones alpha chain family. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]

Product Notes

The Human FSH cga (Catalog #AAA2708181) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2708181 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FSH. AAA Biotech's Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FSH cga for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
