Recombinant Human MKK6 / MEK6 / MAP2K6 Protein (His & GST tag)
Description: A DNA sequence encoding the human MKK6 isoform 1 (P52564-1) (Met 1-Asp 334) was fused with the N-terminal polyhistidine-tagged GST tag at the N-terminus.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the dual specificity protein kinase family, which functions as a mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase kinase. MAP kinases, also known as extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), act as an integration point for multiple biochemical signals. This protein phosphorylates and activates p38 MAP kinase in response to inflammatory cytokines or environmental stress. As an essential component of p38 MAP kinase mediated signal transduction pathway, this gene is involved in many cellular processes such as stress induced cell cycle arrest, transcription activation and apoptosis. Product Notes
The MKK6 / MEK6 / MAP2K6 map2k6 (Catalog #AAA2545115) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus-Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The recombinant human MKK6/GST chimera consists of 571 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 65.3 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 60 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MKK6 / MEK6 / MAP2K6 map2k6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MKK6 / MEK6 / MAP2K6, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
